Because of our current and projected rapid growth, we are investing heavily in R&D, have upgraded and enlarged our manufacturing facilities, and are significantly expanding our sales organization. We are now seeking additional outstanding professionals in all aspects of our business in order to augment our world-class capabilities so we can handle our enormous growth.
Come join our team of professional manufacturing support personnel. This role will support our manufacturing equipment that is state-of-the-art designed with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) by Allen Bradley. You will be one of the key resources to ensuring our manufacturing operations are running smoothly. Additionally, you will use your Electrician skills to ensure all electrical and mechanical work meets State and Federal Code requirements. Working closely with engineering, you will be responsible for all electronic, pneumatic hardware and software aspects of assigned projects including electrical / control system components including electronic components, VFD s, motors, solenoids and sensors. You will be part of a team that manages the manufacturing machinery preventative maintenance program and as such will be needed for on-call rotation for Police, Fire Department, facilities emergencies and off shift requirements. You will be required to adhere to all safety and compliance guidelines the company sets forth.
You will also have the following responsibilities:
- Perform Electrical/Mechanical maintenance tasks as assigned to keep up with Maintenance Department work load.
- Execute Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work orders as assigned.
- Properly document activities as to actual work done, parts used, etc.
- Assist in improving PM procedures by participating in procedure audits and reviews, recommending PM changes based on personal observations, etc.
- Ensure all electrical and mechanical work meets established codes and KMS standards.
- Participate in electrical code compliance and safety inspections as required.
- Continually monitor KMS facilities and equipment for electrical code compliance and safety; document and report any discrepancies for correction.
- Ensure any documentation and drawings used are returned to the designated storage location.
- Perform duties to support Facilities maintenance as assigned.
- Available for on-call rotation for Police, Fire Department, facilities emergencies and off shift requirements.
- Other duties as assigned (shop clean up, general mechanical maintenance, general facilities support, etc.).
Requirements:
Current Massachusetts Electrician License in good standing; Knowledge of NEC and Massachusetts State codes and wiring requirements; Experience trouble-shooting and correcting PLC/Controls issues; Knowledge of complete range of system controls including power / motor circuitry, relay logic, Allen Bradley PLC Hardware, PLC programming, HMI graphic design, SCADA systems and pneumatics. Must be familiar with industry codes and standards (ex. NEC, UL, NFPLA 79) and have hands-on instrument calibration competence. Experience in developing, specifying and installing new/upgraded PLC/Process controls and AC drives. 3+ years experience as a licensed electrician, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial environment is desired.
