AV System Designer

TRITECH Communications, Inc., one of the nation's leading technology integrators, seeks an AV System Designer for our New England Regional office located in Boston, Massachusetts.

Primary Responsibilities

* Develop, and deliver complete and accurate system design specifications, drawings and other documentation required to ensure the successful implementation and integration of audiovisual, videoconference, broadcast and IT system solutions.
* Provide complete Conceptual Designs, derived through the application of mathematical and scientific principles and audiovisual system design best practices.
* Provide complete and accurate Construction Document (CD) packages.
* Accurately estimate the type and quantity of labor and installation materials necessary to successfully complete the installation phase of the project.
* Position reports to Vice President, New England Regional Office.

Additional Responsibilities/Requirements

* Work directly and communicate effectively with project stakeholders including client representatives, architects, consultants and TRITECH staff in a professional, cooperative and courteous manner.
* Develop complete and accurate Program Reports, Facility Impact Analysis and System Performance Evaluation Reports, Proposals, Bid Responses, Estimates, Timelines and Construction Documents
* Effectively coordinate and manage multiple, large-scale system design projects, on time and within budget.
* Proficiency in the testing, performance evaluation, certification, commissioning and documentation of installed and integrated systems. Excellent facility impact analysis, system performance evaluation and documentation skills and practices are essential.

Qualifications

* Civilian or military technical college graduate degree or equivalent and related work experience.
* A minimum of TEN years of experience and documented work history in the installation and integration of audiovisual, videoconference, broadcast and IT systems
* A minimum of FIVE years of experience and documented work history in the design and engineering of audiovisual, videoconference, broadcast and IT systems
* Expert-level proficiency in the use of AutoCAD drafting platforms and software
* Comprehensive knowledge of system installation and integration methods and practices
* CTS Certification. CTS-D Certification desirable
* Crestron DM Certification
* Crestron /AMX control system programming experience desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Meet project security clearance requirements where necessary
* Must be based and eligible to work in the United States

Travel

* Travel on a regular basis (domestic and international travel expected) It is not necessary that you live in Boston to qualify for this position.
