Job: Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET I)

Linc Health, an ABM company, is currently seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I in the Framingham / Natick Massachusetts . FUNCTION Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Engineering, the qualified person will perform a variety of preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on various medical devices, using common hand tools and test equipment. The candidate will be responsible for perform incoming inspections and associated data entry for all work order activities. The individual may be occasionally dispatched to satellite facilities belonging to the hospital and subject to minor travel. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain tools and test equipment in working order Follow safe practices relating to infection control, hazardous materials and mechanical loads and industry compliance standards Enter work order data into the service database Report any device problems that may impact patient care or patient safety to the supervisor for corrective action REQUIREMENTS * Associates degree or equivalent in biomedical technician experience, electronics and computers * Ability to read, write and speak English * Basic data entry skills * Willingness to learn new tasks and to participate in various training sessions * Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) are a plus * Possess strong communication skills * The person must be a legal resident of the US or a citizen, pass the CORI check and have a valid driver license in the state of their residency For 35 years, Linc Health, an ABM company, has offered our clients healthcare technology solutions.
