Claims Processor/Data Entry - Medicare Claims - Hingham, MA-682235
Description
* Specialize Support Clerk/Medicare Claims performs routine but moderately complex tasks that are related to the specific functions of the claims processing area. Applies knowledge of established procedures to resolving claims issues. Resolves most problems and refers only the most complex issues to the team facilitator. Examples of duties may include: direct data entry and/or verification of data entry, processes claims using automated systems, following all established government guidelines and procedures. When necessary, completing appropriate forms to justify claim adjudication. Other special projects or duties may be assigned accordingly.
Essential Functions may include
* Review source documents for completeness and accuracy. Compare information in system against source documents to ensure accuracy
* Enter data into computer accurately and within established time frames.
* Resolve problem claims not accepted by system edits and audits as appropriate.
* Perform research as appropriate to resolve claims issues. Make determinations utilizing online manuals
* Achieve and maintain established production and quality standards.
* Follow up on processing issues and make suggestions for system efficiencies
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
* Basic knowledge of the administrative methods, and an acumen to develop the required administrative skills of the job.
* Specific level of software skills as required by the work unit.
Prerequisites
* High school education or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Data Entry skills are required.
* Basic PC skills are required.
