Essential Job Responsibilities:
Perform project/construction management role for small to mid-range design/build projects ($50K-$10m) within New England. Projects are primarily involved with the Information Technology or Telecommunication market clients. Most projects are heavily related to the electrical and HVAC infrastructure supporting client's environments. Projects will include sales, planning, engineering and subcontracting on-site management and project closeout.
Primary Job Duties:
* Prepare scope of work and sub contracts
* Prepare customer proposals
* Manage multiple projects in various stage of activities
* Prepare and monitor project budgets
* Participate in engineering process to control cost and client budget requirements of project
* Develop project schedule and monitor/update as project progresses
* Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of installation superintendents and trades people
* Provide specific expertise for problem solving
* Provide technical evaluation of subcontractor and equipment proposals.
* Monitor and inspect construction to ensure compliance with design documents.
* Coordinate completion of construction activities.
* Prepare punch list to ensure the readiness of systems for turnover to the client.
Requirements
* Excellent understanding of commercial HVAC and electrical systems
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of construction policies and procedures, with field experience a plus.
* Massachusetts construction manager license.
* Experience in computer applications such as MS Excel, MS Projects, and AutoCAD.
* Understanding of the telecommunication, data processing operations very helpful.
* Five to ten years experience project management experience.
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
