Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to provide pre-sale application engineering assistance to their customers by overseeing the Projects Group and both performing and managing others in the tasks detailed below. A mechanical or chemical background is highly desired as well as experience with wastewater integration for municipalities. Any design experience would be considered a plus for this position.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and contribute to the day to day activities of the project application engineering group including:

Maintain accountability for ensuring performance of subordinates, notifying management or utilizing authorized levels of discretionary approval to support the sales and operations effort.

Maintain responsibility for specific project jobs as necessary.

Typical tasks of the project group include:

Timely and accurate release of bid proposals including proper scopes of supply and competitive pricing.

Understanding and meeting contract specification requirements

Timely, accurate, and efficient documentation handling

Timely, accurate, and efficient BOM release of approved projects.

Effective pre-sales support and lead handling

Maintain effective understanding of project production scheduling.

Coordination with sales, production, purchasing, and operations on meeting shipments and profitability targets

Meet weekly with projects team to keep current on status of submittal and bid activity.

Understand submittal and approval status and the impact on shipments

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience. Candidates without a Bachelor degree but with equivalent work experience will be considered.
