Description

Essential Qualifications:

* ASEE/ASME/ASPE or 2+ years of college level engineering/physics course work.
* 6 years of experience in R&D/Engineering environment.
* Experience with electronic test equipment, including RF measurement equipment. This includes, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
* Soldering skills of both through-hole and surface-mount components (to 0201).
* Ability to read schematics, and experience with troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently. Ability to design and execute test plans with minimal oversight.
* Ability and willingness to do some precision electro-mechanical assembly work.
* Must be proficient building prototypes at board level
* Strong written and verbal skills and Comfort with Microsoft Office. Experience creating ECOs, BOMs and engineering related documentation.
* US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Desired:

* Recent certifications in assembly, workmanship, solder, etc are a major plus. In particular, NASA certifications such as NASA (STD-8739.3) and/or IPC.
* Experience and certification in 6/6 RoHS soldering technology.
* Prototypes fabrication with machine tools such as mill, drill press, tap, lathe, etc.
* Experience with precision time, frequency, oscillators technology.
* Experience is ISO900x and six sigma manufacturing methodology.
* Experience with optical systems, alignment, and diagnostic tools.
* Experience with data acquisition: Labview and instrument control.
* B.S. degree in physics or engineering.
