The Maintenance Technician position is located in Rockland, MA and will be responsible for regularly performing the duties of two or more of the following: technician, electrician, plumber, millwright, maintenance machinist. The position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following specific duties;

* Trouble shooting and repair of web converting and packaging equipment.
* Mechanical repair of bearings, belts, gear boxes, air shafts, air chucks and adhesive pumps.
* Repair of pneumatic systems-regulators, air pressure gauges, solenoids; hydraulics.
* Electrical repair of industrial controls, switches, etc.
* Preventative maintenance on process lines, slitters, and packaging equipment.
* Working on web-handling/converting equipment.
* May handle or generate hazardous waste.
* Operating lathe, milling machine, cut off saw and drill press.
* Request placement/spare parts from supervisor or lead person.
* Perform tasks as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.

**Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M testing as a part of the selection process.

This position requires working:

* Fixed first shift
* Overtime
* Weekends

Qualifications

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

* High School diploma or GED
* 3 years of industrial maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3 years of experience working with PLC and/or basic programming languages for debugging and troubleshooting equipment
* 3 years of experience with web handling equipment
* Experience with hydraulics, mechanics, and pneumatics.
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
* Knowledge of bearings, sprockets, belts, and other means of power transmission.
* Strong computer skills
* Strong communication skills
