Medical Assistant

Department: Physician Services
Schedule: Full time
Shift: Day shift
Hours: 40 hrs/wk; 9a-5:30p M-F
Job Details:
* - High school diploma or equivalent is required
* - Certification is preferred
* - Customer Service skills are required
* - Experience is preferred

Performs all nursing functions in a medical office setting for patients of all ages. Responsible for telephone triage and assessment. Renders patient care within the scope of their training, including administering immunizations and allergy injections, obtains height, weight and blood pressure on all patients and documents appropriately into patient's chart. Assists physicians with minor procedures & complete physicals. Prepares exam rooms and restocks supplies. Calls in prescription refill orders & coordinates patient care with other providers and/or facilities. Coordinates operational activities of practice as directed by Office Manager. Performs all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Medical Office experience preferred. Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
