Description
The incumbent prepares mortgage closing documents in accordance with corporate, state and federal regulations. Work very closely with attorneys and settlement agents in the ordering and review of real estate title work and coordination of mortgage closings on a national basis. Perform critical review of mortgage files prior to generation of closing documents to ensure file meets compliance and regulatory standards. Oversee disbursement of bank funds to settlement agent via wire or bank check. Perform post close review of mortgage closing documents to ensure all necessary documents have been received and are executed properly. Follow-up with attorneys, settlement agents and borrowers on exceptions noted in post close review. Oversee record's management functions for department. Update and maintain record's management database in retrieval of files. Work closely with vendor in the order and receipt of files shipped off site. Oversee accurate filing and retrieval of documentation from bank vault. Other functions include: Interact closely with various mortgage department personnel to ensure maximum customer service and adherence to strict compliance regulations while meeting key dates in the mortgage process, help manage in completion of on-going vendor audit and special assignments as necessary, perform background research and provide resolution to outstanding client problems/issues, establish and maintain strong working relationship with mortgage subservicing vendor.

Qualifications
3 to 5 years related experience in mortgage and/or legal industries. Excellent verbal, analytical and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Strong organizational skills. Proven history of overseeing all aspects of individual mortgage closings on a national basis. Post close mortgage file review experience required. Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience is required.
