Title: Project Environmental Scientist

ARCADIS has an immediate need for a mid-level asbestos consultant/industrial hygiene professional. The position includes planning, implementing, and managing asbestos abatement projects and other industrial hygiene projects and contract throughout the Northeast US. This person will also interface with clients to ensure on time and satisfactory performance and oversee the preparation of high quality project reports and deliverables; Coordinates and conducts the necessary review of project documents with in-house consultants, client representatives, contractors and others required to work as a team on the project and gains assistance from company management when difficulties arise; And assembles the resources required to serve the needs of a project or several small projects.

Safety Responsibilities:
* Communicate hazards and special safety requirements to field personnel
* Coordinate special safety considerations with client
* Abide by safety and personal protective equipment policies
* Drive defensively, avoid preventable accidents and always wear a seat belt
* Attend regularly scheduled safety training

Essential Skills/Abilities:
* A demonstrated ability to evaluate the technical requirements of segments of the individual projects, outline the tasks, staffing and equipment requirements, establish fees, scope and project budgets and outline a project schedule.
* A demonstrated ability to administer all project general and technical data and reports and to communicate orally and in writing to all parties involved.
* Overnight travel will regularly be required in this position.

Basic and Required Qualifications:
* Minimum years of experience: 10
* Education required: BS in related field or equivalent years of experience
* Registrations/Certifications required: Knowledge of applicable regulations and codes related to this practice area.

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
* Education preferred: 10
* Registrations/Certifications preferred: BS

* This position does requires travel. Travel amount is 20%
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
* This position does not manage others.
