Position Description:

Southborough, MA - The Purchasing Analyst will provide analytical support to the Executive Director to help identify areas of non-compliance to processes and procedures, and to drive continuous improvement activities across Gyrus Purchasing and Materials Management. EOE M/F/D/V

Requirements and Responsibilities:

* Work with relevant groups to help define and create reports which help to monitor and control Purchasing and Materials Management processes.

* Carry out Gyrus-wide supplier communications and take responsibility for expediting all responses to completion.

* Provide cross site support to ensure that the Purchasing and Materials Management parameters within ERP system are current and complete.

* Manage changes to Purchasing and Materials Management parameters on behalf of Gyrus teams.

* Act as single point of contact for Executive Director of Purchasing and Materials Management when communicating to Gyrus teams and take responsibility for successful completion of allocated tasks across sites.

* Provide analytical support to Executive Director of Purchasing and Supply on cost management across sites (Purchase Price Variance/ Invoice Price Variance) and take corrective actions, as required.

* Responsible for providing supplier scorecard (quality, cost, delivery) measures for suppliers, as identified, and following up with responsible teams and suppliers.

* Create presentations as defined by Executive Director of Purchasing and Materials Management.

* Provide support in documenting Purchasing and Materials Management processes and procedures.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)

* A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferable with a concentration in Business Administration or related discipline.

* A minimum of 3 years of experience is necessary.

* A demonstrated use of project management tools and techniques are a must.

* The ability to work independently with limited direction, partner with appropriate departments, and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization is desired.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development and analysis is required.

* The ability to effectively utilize problem solving skills and root-cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change is a must.

* Must be able to work effectively with remote teams and travel as required.

* The ability to create presentations which clearly and effectively present information with limited direction is required.

* Must be able to manage large data sets with attention to detail and write reports in a clear and concise format.

* Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Project, Vision, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, or related software is essential.

* The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs is necessary.

* The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form is a must.

* The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is necessary.
