Title: Web and Graphic Designer
Internship Summary:
Produce creative, compelling, on-brand, on-strategy print and web communication materials to support marketing, business development and social media for the Protect Our Breasts

Organization.
What is Protect Our Breasts?
Founded in 2011, Protect Our Breasts is an interdisciplinary organization between students and professors whose mission is to share the conversation about chemicals in everyday products found on the grocery shelves that contribute to breast cancer; empowering women to make safer choices to protect their breasts during the most vulnerable periods of their lives.

Essential Functions:
Produce creative, compelling, on-brand, on-strategy print and web communication materials to support marketing, business development, and social media
Develop concepts, establish design layouts, manage copy, and produce polished final designs for
social media, blog and promotional materials
Assist with managing and maintaining content for Protect Our Breasts web properties
Maintain and update Protect Our Breasts brand standards ensuring consistency across all
communication platforms
Skill Requirements:
Knowledge in XHTML, CSS, CMS (content management systems), JavaScript, Dreamweaver, video editing software, Flash and exposure to ActionScript
Experience in .aspx, Ektron CMS, .php, .asp, .NET, Visual Studio desirable
Ability to apply strong conceptual, visual and interaction design skills to present ideas clearly
Experience developing web pages, and a strong background in visual design
Knowledge with QuarkXpress, Adobe Creative Suite, including the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.perfered
Maintain style guidelines and brand standards Ability to take projects from concept to final design
Willing to travel to UMass campus once a week

This is a non-paid internship providing the successful applicant with a team-based, societal-marketing experience and significant contributions for portfolio.
