Description
The Center for Human Development is looking to hire a highly energetic, well-seasoned fundraiser and community relations expert as its new Director of the Cancer House of Hope.
The Cancer House of Hope, one of 80 CHD programs and services, works to enhance the lives of people with cancer and those who care about them through a comprehensive offering of emotional, educational, social and spiritual services. Staffed by volunteers and professionals who have personally experienced the effect of cancer in their lives, the Cancer House of Hope offers an accessible, comfortable, non-institutional setting where people who are battling cancer, as well as their families and friends, find support.

She/he recruits and manages volunteers and services providers; develops innovative programming; oversees scheduling; and ensures the smooth operation of administrative functions.

Requirements
Strong management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to network effectively with community based entities; Experience fundraising; Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and implement complex tasks; Excellent interpersonal skills; BA or above strongly preferred. Cancer survivors and/or family members strongly urged to apply.
